🚀 Inworld Becomes Top-Funded AI and Games Startup
An application for GPT-5 was filed on July 18, 2023, and is currently being processed.
The application covers artificial speech, audio-to-text conversion, voice and speech recognition, and machine-learning-based language and speech processing.
It also includes software for developing and implementing artificial neural networks.
Meta introduces a new tool consisting of three models: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec.
These models are now open-sourced, allowing researchers and practitioners to train their own models with their datasets.
The models were trained on extensive music data, including 20,000 hours of Meta-owned or licensed music and public sound effects.
CEO Sundar Pichai highlights SGE (Semantic Google Search) as the future of Google Search.
Specific moments from YouTube videos are now linked in search results.
Google is adding publish dates to articles in the summary box and testing in-line links within the AI summary.
Recent improvements have reduced the generation time of AI overviews by half.
Inworld secures substantial funding in its latest fundraising round, making it the best-funded startup in AI and games.
Lightspeed Venture Partners, Stanford University, First Spark Ventures (co-founded by Eric Schmidt), Samsung Next, LG Technology Ventures, and existing investors contribute to the funding.
The additional funding raises $50 million, bringing Inworld's total raised capital to over $120 million since its establishment in 2021.
Inworld's current valuation reaches half a billion dollars.
