📂 Dropbox Launches $50M Fund for AI Startups
🔒 Security Breach Affects Over 100,000 ChatGPT Accounts
🤖 DeepMind's RoboCat Adapts to Multiple Tasks
Dropbox has launched a $50 million venture fund focused on AI startups.
The company aims to advance the AI ecosystem and support the next generation of startups shaping the modern work experience through AI.
Dropbox also announced new AI-powered features for its cloud storage product, allowing users to ask questions to docs, find specific information from their entire Dropbox, and connect other apps through their dashboard.
Over 100,000 ChatGPT accounts were breached between June 2022 and May 2023, according to Group IB.
The accounts were compromised and sold on dark web marketplaces, with info stealers Raccoon, RedLine, and Vidar believed to be primarily responsible.
The breach has led to calls for increased security measures, including two-factor authentication.
DeepMind has developed RoboCat, an AI model capable of solving and independently adapting to multiple tasks using different robots.
RoboCat is trained on hundreds of tasks, observes human-controlled demonstrations, and learns how to operate different robotic arms.
The model can also self-generate new data to further improve its capabilities.
