New York Subways (MTA) lost $285 million to fare evasion in 2022.
MTA employs AI surveillance at 7 undisclosed subway stations to track unpaid riders since May 2023.
Spanish AI developer AWAAIT created the undisclosed AI, set to be installed in two dozen more stations by year’s end.

These models excel in reasoning and linguistic subtleties, validated through various benchmarks.
Inspired by Microsoft's methodology, the data generation process uses high-quality instructions from specific datasets.
FreeWilly models deliver exceptional performance despite being trained on a smaller dataset compared to previous models.
FreeWilly2 surpasses GPT-4 in some areas and outperforms GPT-3 in most.

Using music retrieval or MusicLM, a music generation model, researchers convert fMRI data into music.
Generated music closely resembles the experienced musical stimuli, including genre, instrumentation, and mood.
Voxel-wise encoding modeling analysis explores the relationship between MusicLM components and brain activity.

Seven AI companies, including Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Inflection, and Anthropic, agree to White House AI safety guidelines.
The voluntary rules aim to ensure responsible AI development, although non-compliance has no direct consequences.
